Trust the Process

In a lot of ways, trusting the process is like baking a cake. While we are in the throes of living, it’s easy and unwise to become singularly focused. Flour alone is not tasty. As a rule, most of us wouldn’t eat an entire stick of butter. The same is true for raw eggs and sugar; however, mixing the ingredients together and baking them yield a delicious pound cake.

The pound cake (the result) isn’t achieved without measuring – we lose excess relationship, mixing – learning to work with others, stirring and beating – ebbing and flowing, and baking – withstanding the heat.

We must be willing to lose excess, work with others, ebb and flow, and withstand heat to garner (the process) to achieve a sweet and delicious pound cake!
